The authorities in New York and Washington are alert alert after American air strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday evening.
“We are following the situation revealing in Iran. Through an abundance of caution, we publish additional resources on religious, cultural and diplomatic sites throughout New York City and coordination with our federal partners. We will continue to monitor any possible impact on NYC,” NYPD said in a post on X.
Shortly after that, the Metropolitan Police Department issued a similar statement on the social media platform.

The statement said, “The Metropolitan Police Department is closely monitoring the events in Iran,” the statement said. “We are actively coordinating with local, state law enforcement partners and unionists to exchange information and intelligence control in order to help protect population, companies and visitors in Colombia Province.”
MPD said that there are no known threats to the region, but it will increase its presence in religious institutions throughout the city.
The mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass posted on X, noting that after the bombings in Iran, the city “is closely monitoring any threats to public safety.”
Bass wrote in the post: “There are no well -known threats at this time and have come out of an abundance of caution, as Lapd intensifies patrols near places of worship, spaces of society gathering and other sensitive sites,” Bass wrote in the post. “We will remain vigilant in protecting our societies.”

Paul Mauro is a contributor to Fox News and former NYPD inspector who watched terrorist cells in the city.
“(NYPD) will lose private periodic cars in sites that can track the conflict in places that have an Israeli connection, and there is a couple of Shiite mosques – Iran, Shiites – and there is a couple of Shiite mosques,” Mauro told Fox News Digital. “You never know what will develop. So (you will) communicate with those societies. They will talk to them, and they will put a special patrol, and a special attention.”
