Israel has repeatedly targeted the Houthis in recent months, while increasing tensions with the group from the war in Gaza.

The Yemeni Houthi leader, Abd al -Malik al -Houthi, condemned Israel and pointed to a challenge, and the government leaders praised the assassination that they are the “martyrs of all Yemen”, which is the day after the group of the death of the Prime Minister and other ministers.

He said during his first speech on Sunday since the Israeli strikes, “The Israeli enemy, with its crimes and brutality, is not even spared children, women and civilians.”

“The crime of targeting ministers and civilian officials is added to the criminal registry of the Israeli enemy in the region.”

The Houthis said in a statement on Saturday that the Prime Minister of the Houthi government in the capital, Sama’a Ahmed Ghaleb Al -Rahwi, was killed in an Israeli strike on Thursday on SANA with “several” other ministers.

The statement said that Al -Rahwi, who held the position of Prime Minister in the regions of the divided country, was targeted with other members of the Houthi government during a workshop.

Al -Houthi added that “the record of the Israeli enemy is one of the horrific terrorism” because it kills people in the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Iran. Israel called “a criminal enemy that clarifies brutality, criminality and aggression through practices that do not know any rules, no obligations, no covenants, no considerations.”

The Houthi leader said that the group will continue to act against Israel in opposing the war on Gaza in solidarity with the suffering of the Palestinians, adding that “our people will not weaken because of the aggression they face.”

Israel has repeatedly targeted the Houthi positions in recent months, as the Yemeni group launched attacks on Israel and western ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

Quoting unveiled sources, the Israeli media reported on Friday that the Israeli army attacked the entire cabinet, including the Prime Minister and 12 other ministers, on Thursday.

The attack came four days after the Israeli strikes were killed on the Yemeni capital on August 24, 10 people and were injured by more than 90, according to health officials.

Houthi raids on United Nations offices

In a clear attempt to tighten security amid Israel’s attacks across SANA, the Houthis raided on Sunday the United Nations food and children’s offices in the capital of Yemen, and they detained at least one employee from the United Nations, officials said.

Ammar Ammar, the official spokesman for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), told the Associated Press that there is a “continuous position” related to their offices in SANA, without providing more details.

The United Nations official said that contacts with many World Food Program (WFP) and UNICEF employees have been lost and that they are more likely to be detained.

ABeer Etefa, a spokesperson for the Costmo Program, told the security forces raiding the agencies of the Houthi -controlled capital on Sunday morning.

ETEFA said: “The World Food Program repeats that the arbitrary detention of humanitarian employees is unacceptable,” ETEFA said.

These raids are the latest in the Houthi long -term campaign against the United Nations and other international organizations operating in rebel areas in Yemen.

They have detained dozens of United Nations employees, as well as people associated with relief groups, civil society and the American embassy that they are now closed in SANA.

In February, the United Nations also suspended its operations in the Houthi stronghold in Sada, in northern Yemen, after the Houthis arrested eight United Nations employees in January.
