Federal National Forecast (NWS) imposed warnings for winter weather conditions for parts of California, Nevada, Michigan, Maine and New York State.
Why is it important
According to the NWS, up to 14 inches of snow could guess some elevated surfaces during the weekend, although the four 10 inches are scheduled to be more typical.
The agency warns negatively could have a serious impact on travel that could become “very hardly impossible” in the worst influences, and drivers are invited to slowly and be careful. Freezing temperatures can endanger health, especially vulnerable groups such as children and older people, while snow can lead to dangerous driving conditions.
What to know
NWS winter weather advisory warnings are stated for the threshold of eastern California along the border of Nevada, together with patches further south, parts of northeastern Nevada, northwestern Michigan, and NORTHERN MAINE and New York.
In the eastern California, warnings covers a wide area around the cities Chester, Quincy and Blue Canyon until 13:00 PST on Monday for areas over 4,500 feet. The clumps of snow between one and five inches are expected between 4,500 and 6,000 feet, along with between four and 10 inches for areas above 6000 feet.
NWS advises motorists to “plan the slippery times”, add: “Dangerous conditions could affect Sunday morning to Monday morning.”
Alerts are also on the San Bernardino and Riverside mountain area, and Monday, and is expected on Monday between three and five inches of snow for areas above 5,500 feet and wind per hour to 65 miles per hour.

Around the National Park, the warnings are between 22:00 PST on Saturday and 22:00 PST on Monday, with nadimaju wind up to 50 miles per hour and so much increasing to 14 inches. In this area, roads could become dangerous and travel “very hardly impossible.”
The warning also applies to the Great Lake Tahoe Area and Mono County in Nevada from 22 hours on Sunday to 16 hours on Monday PST. The accumulations of snow buildings up to eight inches should be expected in the highest areas, making the “very difficult” journey. Windy bumps could have been done to 45 miles per hour that come down the branch of trees.
For New York, warnings relates to Oswego, Oneid, Jefferson and Lewis County, including the cities of Oswego, Watertown and Lowville until 16.00 ET on Saturday. Through the snow between two and five inches should be expected together with windfalls to 45 miles per hour.
According to the NWS, “the largest reservoirs will be on the higher terrain of the tagger tractor and the western footer of Adirondak”, while the agency warns the snow can cover roads and cause restricted visibility.
Hamilton and North Herkimer County also have NWS warnings on the site until 16.00 ET on Sunday, and the accumulation of snow on two inches.
In Maine, the northern parts of the arostook, Somerset and Piscataquis county until 21.00 ET on Saturday night, with the accumulation of snow between two and five inches, last lost probability in St. John Valley.
Advisory warnings for winter weather are in place of the Michigan, including Antrim, Kalkas, Lake, Mason, Ocean, Maintee, Leelanau and Grand Traverse Counties. These areas are expected to get between one and three inches of snow with warnings that end on Saturday.

NWS said: “Winter weather advice means the snow periods will cause trips primarily. Expect to snow roads and limited showcases and use caution while driving.”
On x, the NWS Office in Buffalo, New York, commented on: “Temperatures will take a break today, supporting the rain this morning to switch to snow this morning. Possible snow in the southeast of both lakes today and tonight will support wind windows in low single-knot.”
That MARQUETTE’S Office, Michigan, said: “The exemption of the lakes will continue to reduce in intensity and cover today. 1-3 centimeters of snow is expected in NW snow belts east of the market today. The high will be from 11 to 21.”
What happens next
If the NWS forecasts are correct, some larger surfaces can experience significant travel disorders over the weekend. Residents are invited to look after the NWS updates and follow local weather forecasts.
