President Donald Trump said he was still willing to travel to Turkey on Friday, if enough progress in Istanbul peace talks and Ukraine.
“I was thinking about leaving. If something would happen, I would go on Friday if it is appropriate,” Trump said during a visit to Qatar.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is located in Ankara and said he was willing to meet for conversations with a face to face with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
But Putin has not taken the offer so far.
Delegations from the two countries should take the first set of direct talks on Thursday for more than three years in Istanbul.
Trump has previously asked to achieve significant progress in peace or would leave on the mediation of the process.
He wants a fast end of the war, stating huge death and destruction, and the burden of American taxpayers of financing Ukraine defense through military aid.
This is the punching of news and more information will be added soon.
