Trump -backed project projects failed to vote in Congress star-news.press/wp

Several bills for regulating cryptocurrencies supported by President Donald Trump failed to remove a major procedural obstacle on Tuesday in the House of Representatives, where it dealt with a major blow to the encryption industry.

Bill bills cannot move forward until the House of Representatives approves the rules of discussion for legislation. The final outcome of the sudden vote was on Tuesday 196 in favor and 223 against.

Thirteen Republicans voted with Democrats to prevent legislation from moving forward.

It was not clear late on Tuesday what steps are the next steps, after the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives suddenly decided not to hold another vote on the same day.

The measures were expected to pass widely. Al -Qaeda’s failure during what was described as “encryption week” was a rare example of Republicans in the House of Representatives to follow Trump’s guidance.

Republican leaders have not yet clarified whether the second vote will be an identical rule and the same bills, or whether the members will change changes to the package to meet the members of the Republican Party conference who opposed the current proposal.

The shares associated with the encryption turned after the voting failure.

Stormy clouds are hovering on the American Capitol on July 1, 2025 in Washington, DC.

Representative Margori Taylor Green, R Ga, one of the Republicans who opposed this measure, books In a post on X, “I have just voted on the basis of the law of genius because it does not include a ban on the central bank’s digital currency and because the spokesman Johnson did not allow us to make amendments to the law of genius.”

Green wrote: “President Trump included a ban on the Convention on Biological Diversity in his executive order on January 23, and Congress must also include the ban imposed on the Convention on Biological Diversity in the Genius Law.”

Trump praised the “encryption week” during a post on the social truth platform earlier on Tuesday and urged all Republicans in the House of Representatives to vote “yes” to this measure.

“The House of Representatives will soon vote on a huge bill to make America indisputable, the first commander in digital assets – no one does it better!” Trump wrote.

He wrote: “The genius law will put our great nation in China, Europe and all others who are trying endless to catch up with knees, but they cannot do that.”

“Digital assets are the future, and we are a lot! Get the first vote on this afternoon (all Republicans must vote yes!),” Trump continued.
