The riots in prison in the northeast of Nashville, says Sheriff, and all prisoners returned to their cells after the officers scattered gas into the prison yard.
Sheriff’s Sheriff’s District Sheriff says she got a word immediately after 10 pm on Sunday in trouble at the TrousDale Turner penalty center.
“The response to multiple agencies followed a short time after the initial call,” the department said. “The incident was contained within the fence. Prison staff reported that all prisoners were returned to their cells.”
CBS Nashville Affiliate WTVF-TV told Corecivic, which leads the facility, that the incident began when several prisoners refused to return to their cells.

WTVF said Three Gardins were hostages, but they all pulled out safely and without major injuries.
At one point, approximately 100 officers from several agencies were on the scene.
WTVF quotes the TrousDale County Sheriff Rassell as speaking, “Prisoners never received the main fence in which they could escape in the yard”, “adding them to the yard and forced them into the yard.”
