Slovenia will join many other countries that led to the legitimacy of this practice, including Australia and Belgium.

Parliament in Slovenia acknowledged a law granting adults permanently the right to end their lives, after the majority of voters supported this step in a referendum.

The legislators approved the draft law on Friday, with 50 votes in favor of, 34 against and three abstinence, which means that death will be allowed to help in unbearable suffering and in which all treatment options were exhausted.

The right to death will not be available with the help of the insecure suffering resulting from mental illness, according to the Slovenia News Agency.
