On Friday, Metropolitan Police in London announced five charges of rape and sexual assault against former Arsenal player Thomas Parti after an investigation for two and a half years.

The charges include three women and claimed that they occurred between 2021 and 2022, according to BBC.

“Our priority is still supporting the women who are progressing,” said the investigator, the supervisor of Detective Andy Forvi, who leads the investigation, after the announcement of the charges.

“We ask anyone who is affected by this situation, or anyone with information, to talk to our team. You can contact the detectives about this investigation by sending an email to Cit@met.police.uk,” Forvi said.

Partey, 32, joined Arsenal in 2020 and left the club after the end of his contract this month, as the club refused to renew it.

Atletico Madrid paid 45.3 million pounds (only shy of $ 62 million) to the player. It also represents Ghana at the international level.
