Pilots eat physical AI driven robots for food supplies in Zurich

Just eat tickway dot com Zurich is driven to the use of autonomous ground robots for food supplies, becoming the first on-demand delivery company in Europe to test robotics on the wheels powered by physical AI. Pilot is in collaboration with the Swiss Robotics Company RivrAnd one step towards the broad adoption of automation technologies to improve delivery skills.

The RIVR robot separated itself from the existing ground robotics to combine wheels for skilled travel on foot that allows it to climb the stairs and carbs. Operating about 15 km/h, robots can even supply rain, snow, heat or air. It has a 40-liter cargo space with an internal divider to prevent spill and it is designed to safely navigate to the city environment using physical AI, which enables the robot to understand and adapt to its surroundings, avoid obstacles and communicate with pedestrians, vehicles and cyclists safely.

The pilot begins with the order of the original meal of the local restaurant Jacis World. The robot, including the protected locking system for order handovers, acts like a courier. The orders are placed in the robot by the restaurant and unlocked by the customer after arrival.

Each distribution is observed in real time from a remote operation center. In the emergency, the robot may stop automatically or through remote commands and equip with a flag for light and always visibility.
