There is almost no chance to pass in the state where Democrats control both chambers of the legislature, as well as the governor.
Melissa Luján, Immigration lawyer in Oklahom City, said her office began to get more calls from his clients as soon as the school committee approved the proposal last month.
“We currently now have clients who are absolutely terrified going to immigration meetings (or) going to the doctors,” she said. “They are just literally worried to leave their houses.”
The proposal of the school board is moving next to the republic legislature. Stit said that even if MPs could approve, it’s veto.
“What worries me the most is that children will not enroll in school,” Luján said. “And when the children are at school, she won’t feel safe – and no one was good.”
