Rubio says that both Russia and Ukraine “must make concessions” for the peace agreement Trump administration star-news.press/wp

In a series of combat interviews on Sunday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that “both sides will have concessions” so that there is a peaceful solution to the war that broke out when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.

“You cannot have a peace agreement unless the two parties make concessions – this is a fact,” said the best diplomat in the Trump administration on Sunday on ABC this week. “This is true in almost any negotiations. If not, this is only called surrender. None of the two parties will surrender. So both sides will have to make concessions.”

Rubio said that the recent talks in Alaska between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump towards ending the war “made progress in the sense that we have identified possible areas of agreement – but there are still some large areas of disagreement.”

“We are still far -reaching,” Rubio added. “We are not at the edge of the peace agreement. We are not on one edge. But I think progress has been made and about one.”

He refused to enter specific areas of agreement or dispute, or define what Trump described as “severe consequences” for Russia if its aggression against Ukraine continues.

“In the end, if there is no peace agreement, if there is no end to this war, the president was clear – there will be consequences,” Rubio noted. “But we are trying to avoid this. The way we try to avoid these consequences is a better result, which is peace, the end of hostilities.”

US Special Envoy Steve Whittov said that Putin agreed at the summit to allow the United States and Europe to provide Ukraine security guarantee similar to the NATO group defense mandate as part of any peace deal.

In an interview with CNN, Witkoff said that the United States has won the privilege that “the United States can provide protection similar to Article 5, which is one of the real reasons for Ukraine to be in NATO.” He said the concession was “changing the game.”

Rubio agreed that no agreement was possible without both sides – including Ukrainian President Voludmir Zelinski – on the table. “You will not reach a ceasefire or a peace agreement at a meeting where only one side is represented,” Rubio told ABC News. “That is why it is important to gather both leaders – this is the goal here.”

Rubio stressed that the ceasefire-or, as Trump has now reported, is a direct deal to peace-“it will be difficult”, although the White House is publicly required.

He said that the war was “lasting for three and a half years.”

“You have two very firm sides, and we will have to continue to work and confuse it,” said Rubio.

Separately, in the NBC’s Press meeting, Rubio said that the ceasefire was “not outside the table”, although he added: “It all agreed that the best way to end this conflict is through a complete peace deal.”

He said that the United States has called for a ceasefire, but “unfortunately, the Russians have not yet agreed.

“But the ideal here is what we aim here is not a ceasefire,” he said. “What we aim at the end is the end of this.”

Soon after Rubio told the Press that “no one pays” Ukraine to give up the lands, Trump Share the real social truth One of the supporters who said: “Ukraine must be ready to lose some lands against Russia, otherwise the more the war continues, they will continue to lose more lands !!”

However, Rubio said he suspects that a new set of Western sanctions on Russia would force Moscow to agree to any deal.

“The Russian economy has turned into a full-time wart-time economy,” Rubio told CBS’s Face The Nation on Sunday.

“This tells you the price they want to pay,” Rubio said. “I don’t say that any of this is impressive – I say this is the reality of the war we face. It has become a depletion, in some respects. It is a mill of meat, and they have more meat they are grinding.”

He also denied that Trump, as critics claimed, gave the aggressor in the conflict, Putin, an unjustified place on the world stage.

“Putin is already on the world stage,” Rubio said in ABC News. “The man who manages a full -sized war in Ukraine.

“This does not mean that he is right in the war. This does not mean that he is justified about the war. It will not end a war between Russia and Ukraine without dealing with Putin. This is just a general logic. So people can say what they want.”

In the NBC’s Press meeting, US Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut on Sunday said that “Trump Putin’s meeting was a disaster.”

“It was embarrassing for the United States,” said Murphy. “It was a failure. Putin got everything he wanted.”

Murphy said that Trump gave Putin the “image” he wanted and “exempted from war crimes against the world.

“War criminals were not usually invited to the United States of America,” Murphy noted.

Second, he said that Putin did not have to give up anything.

“President Trump said he wanted to a ceasefire – it seems that the ceasefire was not seriously discussed,” Murphy added. Then, third, there are no consequences.

“If I don’t stop stopping, Putin will pay a price,” Trump said. Then he came out of this meeting, saying: “I did not stop shooting.

“The optics were more suitable for Putin than they were in the United States. It seemed that Putin had placed the agenda there, narration and in many respects to meet the entire summit,” Trump’s deputy assistant Fiona Hill told CBS.

The National Security Adviser said during the chairmanship of Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan, that the previous administration was concluded – based on Etisalat – that Russia was not in a position to negotiate the end of the war.

“We did not want to create a summit as we were literally offering the red carpet of Putin in America to make it come and move away from the war without any clear and convincing result of the summit,” Sullivan told ABC News.

He added, “I think our ruling on this was true,” saying that any summit should be “properly ready to achieve a result that the US president can express in advance and produce it in the wake of this.”

“The result that this American president explained, a ceasefire or the consequences – was not caused,” said Sullivan. “That is why I think we find ourselves in a difficult situation today.”
