“It was an invitation to receive it,” Mamdani said during a Trump combating event in Bronx on Thursday.
The 33 -year -old correspondents told the correspondents that after winning the preliminary elections, Obama discussed “the importance of hope in our policy and the ways we judge to present it.” Mamdani said they focused on the campaign he managed, describing it as “an honor to receive that time” with the former president.
“We talked about the importance in a moment like this, as politics is often characterized by a language of darkness, the necessity of hope in how to speak and how we direct ourselves to the world,” said Mamdani.

During the Trump fighting station on Statin Island on Wednesday, Mamdani was asked to “return to the place where I came from” and called on some demonstrators outside his event.
“I know that these are the residents of New York, representatives of themselves. However, unfortunately, this is what politics has become too much,” said Mamdani.
Mamdani answered a follow -up question about his discussion with Obama during the final station in his anti -Trump’s anti -York city tour on Friday.

The Democratic candidate said, “Obama’s position speaks for himself.”
“The honor of the honor had to hold that conversation, and this shows us an opportunity to continue building on both the way we practice our policy, but also, as the president in the town said, it is one thing that we hope for hope. Our responsibility now is also to achieve justice seriously.”
While he spoke to the correspondents at his home, Mamdani began searching for the future, thinking about the fact that he is likely to become the mayor of New York City.
“In the first 100 days, in the first year, which is a period of what it means to be the mayor of the city, so that the residents of New York who got voting for the first time voted more than 30,000 we have registered in the past ten days, but they continue to vote because they continue to see themselves in their democracy.”
