Left back Kieran Tierney has returned to Celtic.

The Scottish International has signed an agreement until the Celtic Park, six years after leaving Glasgow Arsenal.

28-year-olds won 10 important trophies with Celtic and, after a career of injury to the north of London, he made only 104 league appearances, Tierney was rejoined to return to his boyhood club.

Tierney, with Loor Witchcraft, who had a 2023-24 season, said the Celtic website: “Everyone knows that for a few months and again it is amazing to be with the Celtic strip.

“I talked to the director, and of course I always worked with him before and has always been in touch with him. It’s a better, so lucky and thanked to give me the opportunity to return again.

“When you walk away from home, you learn different things. I was in Spain for a year, learning another language and playing different leagues, so I’m a different person.

“It’s a wise player, it’s the same I always say – I’ll try my hardest to work, I’ll do my best for the club and that’s what I can do.

“My ambition is just as successful as possible, keep our place at the top and continue to win the trophies and do it well for the Celtic”.

Rodgers excited to ensure Tierney signature

The movement allows Tierney to meet Brendan Rodgers. They won the last season while the Scottish Premiership Crown attaches.

Rodgers said: “We are happy to return to Kieran to Celtic. It is a very talented player and will be adding above our squad.

“Kieran has always had Celtic in his blood and he has great excitement to return to the place he loves.

“It’s someone who has already given so much Celtic and I know that it is so motivated and hungry that clubs bring more to our fans growing success.
