My brother recently sent me a copy of an Israeli military order that farmers were found on our land and the nearby conspiracies in the occupied West Bank. The document, accompanied by a map, states that the land is seized for military purposes.

The period in which the land will be established and the landowners and users will be provided only seven days from a upcoming field visit – that was coordinated between the Israeli Communication Office and the Palestinian Authority – to submit an objection to the Israeli army’s legal advisor. This field visit usually delineates the confiscated land borders.

From the experience of our previous family, confiscation is often preceded under the guise of “security causes” to create a colonial settlement. This happened in 1973 when our family received a similar military military along the Jerusalem-Heron road. Within a week, a military publication was created. After months, a civil settlement, Elazar, was held on the same location.

What is shocking this time is that this new arrangement barely releases the headlines despite the size of the land scheduled for confiscation. According to the military system, it reaches 5,758 dunums, or more than 5.7 square meters (2.2 square meters). The confiscation is not arbitrary. In the middle of this particular region, there is the Sde Boaz site, which was illegally created on the Palestinian private territories in 2002. The population – about 50 families – are not marginalized extremists. They are middle -class professionals, including doctors, engineers and accountants.

This confiscation is one of the many who have happened during the past 21 months. Under the shadow of the genocide war in Gaza, Israel has accelerated a campaign to include it in the West Bank. The goal is to include parts officially for what Oslo corresponds to the appointed peace such as the B region, which is 21 percent of the West Bank, and the whole region, which constitutes 60 percent of the West Bank and includes the Jordan Valley countryside and the entire Jerusalem, as well as other regions.

Most of the agricultural lands and Palestinian pastures are located in this region, as do a large number of illegal settlements of Israel. My city, the head (St. George), owns more than 22,000 Dunums (22 square meters/8.5 square meters) of the ground, of which more than 20,500 (20.5 square meters/7.9 SQ Mail) is the region C, 500 (half a square kilometer/0.2 SQ Mail) as an area B.

Israeli settlers play an active role in the progress of this annexation plan. This is not limited to the seizure of the strategic hills forces, but also includes a systematic violence against the Palestinians. Settlers’ attacks on Palestinian property, torture and killing Palestinians are all part of an organization’s campaign aimed at uprooting Palestinians from areas B and C to facilitate annexation. This strategy is in line with what Israeli policy makers refer in the name of “voluntary transport”, an expression of the Palestinians who are ethnically cleaned of their homeland.

All this is illegal, according to international law, and contradicts the repeated decisions by the United Nations and the ruling of the International Court of Justice for the year 2024. So who will stop Israel?

The Palestinian Authority, which is nomineically run in the “A” region in the occupied West Bank, will definitely not do so. Since its establishment as part of the peace process in Oslo, the Palestinian Authority has not only failed to resist Israeli movements towards annexation, but also facilitated them by working with Israel to stop armed and even peaceful resistance that does not support its political agenda.

The international community is unlikely to take decisive measures. For decades, Western governments, in particular, provided rhetorical condemnation while providing security and economic support simultaneously to Israel. It is unlikely that these actors that have failed to stop the continuous genocide in Gaza will object if Israel cancels its actual annexation.

This was recently clear during a diplomatic visit to Taybeh, a Palestinian village located northeast of Jerusalem and Ramallah. The visit, which included more than 20 diplomats from all over the world, including European and American actors, came in response to the repeated attacks carried out by the Jewish settlers, who burned parts of the village’s land, including property belonging to the local church. That was all these countries ready to do it – sent representatives to the region for a few hours to pronounce a few words of condemnation. Moreover, it is customary in their relations with Israel.

What remains after that is the flexibility and agency of the Palestinian people and their initial political movements. In the current context, just the presence of the Palestinians on their land is a resistance.

To preserve this existence and enhance their struggle, the Palestinians must continue to fill the progressive and directed movements towards global freedom to support their cause-not only in solidarity, but also as part of a broader global battle against the right-wing extremist, racist and combat forces that support Israel and threaten civil rights at the same time and social justice in their countries.

Solidarity activities at the global level should be strategic and effective. They should focus on disrupting all the components of the supply chain that benefit the Israeli occupation in general and colonize the settlers in particular. This means that citizens around the world in different sectors of society can contribute to the struggle for Palestine as producers and consumers by caring for a call to boycott and disrupt Israel.

The direct procedures of the working class are crucial. Workers can integrate the Palestinian issue in their demands for better working conditions. For example, general strikes may pressure solidarity with Palestine, such as those organized by railway workers in European countries, governments to reconsider their support for Israel.

Likewise, the port workers can strike to disrupt the shipping associated with Israel, which causes governments to reassess their positions. Employees in high -tech industries can play an important role in supporting the Palestinians by claiming their companies along the products, services and partnerships with international law, and they refused to support complicit technologies in the Israeli profession or settlers’ violence. If companies refuse, workers can escalate to protest, such as disrupting supply chains and declining violations.

In addition to the expansion and enhancement of the boycott, abstraction, and penalties (BDS) activities, there are other solidarity measures that can be implemented. In Palestine, individuals and groups can organize to accompany Palestinian farmers to their lands, and they work as witnesses for the attacks of settlers and soldiers with help in protecting societies.

They can also help Palestinian farmers and other societies by helping them sell their products. This challenges the dominant business model that exploits producers on a small scale. I can witness the importance of such initiatives that have started to facilitate the contact of local Palestinian producers with the European market through the Union of Palestine Cooperatives and cooperatives in the United Kingdom.

With governments abolishing their legal obligations to stop genocide and colonialism, the popular mobilization of influential measures is the only way to disrupt Israeli colonial activities. The active global movement can force Israeli citizens to confront racist institutions, racial chapter and colonialism in their society, which led them to search for a real change.
