Iran has arrested eight people suspected of trying to convey the coordinates of sensitive sites and details about the high -ranking military figures during the 12 -day country war with Israel and the United States to the Israeli Intelligence Agency Mossad, according to its Islamic Revolutionary Corps (IRGC).
IRGC issued a statement on Saturday, claiming that the suspects had received specialized training from Musad via online platforms.
He said that they were arrested in northeastern Iran before the implementation of their plans, and the bombers, bombs, explosives and traps were seized.
The news comes at a time when government media reported earlier this month that Iranian police arrested up to 21,000 “suspects” during the June conflict, although they did not say what these people were suspected.
In the wake of Israeli military bombardment that started on June 13, killing senior military officials and scholars as well as hundreds of civilians, Iran has retaliated with rockets on Israeli military sites, infrastructure and cities.
The United States also carried out widespread strikes on behalf of Israel on Iranian nuclear sites during the conflict, and the worst blow to the Islamic Republic since its war in the 1980s with Iraq.
During the 12 -day war, the Iranian security forces began a campaign of widespread arrests accompanied by an intensive presence in the street based on checkpoints and “public reports”.
Iranian citizens were invited to report any individuals who believed that they were acting suspicious during the war that ended in the ceasefire in the United States and Qatar.
Iran has implemented at least eight people in recent months, including the nuclear scientist Rospe Fadi, on August 9 to pass information to Israel about another world killed in Israeli air strikes.
Human rights groups say that Iran uses espionage charges and rapid executions as tools for broader political repression.
The Israeli-Iran conflict also led to an accelerated deportation rate for Afghan refugees and migrants who are believed to be illegal in Iran, where relief agencies stated that local authorities also accused some Afghan citizens of spying in favor of Israel.
“The application of the law collected 2774 illegal immigrants and discovered 30 special security cases by examining their phones. (What a total of) 261 suspects were arrested from espionage and 172 people accused of unauthorized photography.”
Montazerolmahdi has not been specified since then.
He added that the Iranian police dealt with more than 5700 cases of Internet crimes such as online fraud and unauthorized clouds during the war, which he said turned “the electronic space into an important fighting interface.”
