Daniel Smith, Prime Minister Danita Smith, is scheduled to receive world leaders when they reach Calgary Airport for the G7.

Leaders are expected to start on Sunday for the three -day event in the southwest of Kannanchis, southwest of Calgary.

Smith’s office says it is scheduled to host representatives from non -member countries on Monday evening at a reception in Calgary and hold bilateral meetings throughout the summit.

The details of the meetings were not revealed and who will meet Smith.

The Prime Minister has already made international relations a distinctive feature of its management.

The Prime Minister at Alberta topped the headlines in January when she visited the home of US President Donald Trump in Florida before he took office, in an attempt to avoid customs tariffs on Canadian goods.

In April, Smith met with their political counterparts in Japan and South Korea to support markets to export energy and food in Alberta.

The seven annual summit (G7) brings together the leaders of the world’s seven economies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as the European Union.

Canada assumed the group’s presidency for 2025, and thus hosts the Group 7 summit this year from 15 to 17 June in Alberta Rockz, west of Calgary.
