A man from Florida is scheduled to be carried out that a married couple has stabbed during a robbery next month, which could extend a record in the state from the prisoners who were placed in one year.

Victor Tony Jones, 64, is scheduled to be killed on September 30 in Florida’s state prison near Stark, according to a death note signed on Friday by Republican Governor Ron Desantis, who will represent the execution of the thirteenth state scheduled for this year.

The eleventh execution of the state was carried out on Thursday when Curtis Windom, 59, died of fatal injection, and David Beatman, 63, is scheduled to be executed on September 17.

Sunshine has implemented more people this year more than any other state, with Texas and South Carolina tied second with four each. Before this year, the previous record for Florida was for executions within a year since the death penalty was restored in 1976 at the eighth in 2014.

In 1993 Jones was convicted of two first -class accusations and sentenced to death. Two charges of armed theft were also convicted.

He was a new employee of Miami Dead, owned by Matilda and Jacob Nestor in December 1990 when he stabbed the woman in the neck and men in his chest.

Before his death from his wounds, Mr. Nestor managed to reach an office, withdrew a 22 -caliber pistol from the governor and fired five times, and Jones hit once on the front, according to the investigators.

Jones were found in Nestors and her personal property in his pockets.

Florida’s Supreme Court will appeal as Jones’s lawyers seek to prevent his execution. It is also expected that his legal team will appeal to the US Supreme Court.
