Carcilla Hailia From the processing of the head, cidstreams have announced the Round of € 1.75 million to transform the head, fins and frames to human use.
The round has new investors Holdix and Ikarni investment, as well as the return and the syndicate of new investors. These include a new strategic partnership with the Finnish seafood processor Kalavapyakki to expand the international licensing of Helia technology and with the Danish engineering company Dana Technology, who will join as strategic technology suppliers.
“Using cidstreams for human food was very good-to-hav, but now it must have an industry. Compared with the processor in the trade show last year, we see a huge enthusiasm of interest, not for the future, now. Investing in our future Calabapraiki and Dana Technology gives us confidence and ways to occupy these opportunities that we already know are there” Michela lindstromeCEO of Hailea.
The Haleea Nordic Way develops fancy and resource-sight seafood processing technology, produces innovative seafood products. Established in 2021, the goal of Hailea is to revolutionize wealth skills in the marine industry by maximizing the use of raw materials of low fish. Hyelier technology converts these materials into high-value seafood products, contributes to more sustainable food systems.
The company also licenses its cutting edge technology to international fish processing companies. Investors and partners of the company include Nordic Foodtech VC, Hino Group and and Tradka-Caesetus.
The company launched its first commercial-based product, “drawn rainbow trout”, with the Kalabapraki and the Finnish supermarket Leader S-group in 2024. In the same year, the company also launched products available for food services and art kitchen in collaboration with Fish Processor Hatali. The new partnership is committed to the entire supply discipline from the end of the equipment to ensure further growth of Helia.
Kalavapyki has given licenses for Hailia’s technology. Although the products are marketed under the Kalabapraikki brand, they are currently produced by hailia and already available in the market. Helia has the exclusive right to use the technology in seafood applications.
The company is also discussing with a number of global producers of Salmonoids, Pelagics and Whitefish for its technology licenses.
“We have seen the impact of Hailea technology on our own production. We are not only using fish more and reduce our carbon footprint, but we have been able to create a whole new product for our customers. We believe this technology is the future of fish processing, and if we want to be an active part of that journey we never doubt” LaunderingKalabaprabi’s CEO.
According to the data provided by Hailea, the cost of marine food in the world is expected to increase by 50% by 20, which highlights a clear need for new low-carbon protein sources. To meet the demand, the seafood industry needs to improve its resource skills. Cedstreams are primarily used for animal feed, oil or health products, but 20-40% of fish use for human use are an important step towards the introduction of new and healthy food products to the customers.
The licensing model of the hailier gives fish processors to their own manufacturing sites on its technology and equipment. With investment and partnership with engineering partner Dana Technology, Haleia is capable of expanding its global reaches, developing more technology and meeting the needs of global food producers.
“With the problem of solving engineering problems, and with Hailea we have been able to make a huge solution. The seafood industry contains a lot of cidstream and when they were used as a supplement to feeding animals, they did not contribute to global food protection. Hailea has completely changed it, and the industry has noticed. We cannot wait to see where the next steps will take us“Added Enjoy Hansen, CEO of Dana Technology.
