In the Agrifood sector, women are stepping into the role of growing leadership and innovation, a healthy, more sustainable diet. One of the main force behind this movement is the empowerment of the Agrifood (EWA) program Eit foodA European Union Organization is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) – Europe’s leading food innovative initiative.
Now in the sixth edition of it, EWA 2025 is officially open to applications. This six -month entrepreneur program is designed to support female entrepreneurs in 13 countries across 13 countries: Albania, Estonia, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.

What to expect from EWA 2025
The EWA advisers, training and a very intensive six-month journey filled with real-world opportunities. Consolidated by country companies in the native language and deep -related country agencies with the local agriculture ecosystem, the program ensures relevance and accessibility for all participants.
The original features include:

Personalized consultant: More than 20 hours of experts are one-consultant to your business concept and growth requirement.

Appropriate training: Sessions focus on entrepreneurs, leadership, communication and business intelligence with a dedicated masterclass.

Community and Networking: Access to a network of seams, investors and stakeholders throughout Europe.

Financial Assistance: An € 1000 scholarship for participation expenditure (eg, travel, child care), and its final rewards € 5,000 and $ 10,000 per country For the top two projects.

Local and European Exposure: Each country hosts a demo day, where participants solve their local stakeholders. Final candidates can also be invited to a broader European event to show their achievements.

- Yulia LogvinovskyThe co-founder in Lukha, established a vertical farming initiative in Ukraine, providing new herbs and salads to the urban population. EWA’s consultants and resources played a vital role in scales in his business.
- ETURThe founder of the edible thread created an edible thread for cuisine use, eliminating the need for plastic relationships. His innovation has earned him a top prize of $ 10,000 in his country.
