“(No) It’s not a better time to return (than) this game like this and it’s as electrifier as this crowd,” Harper said he was returning from a groin injury. “He had a good game. I had a good game. The world of NBA has shown what we are.”
Flagg had several dunks and also shot 8-10 kicks line.
Flagg attached that he was fighting in the summer league premiere.
“I think it’s a new environment, a new setting,” Flagg said. “Attack me and want to do these things. I think I did a lot better today, it’s just going to reach the lines, and helped me at the beginning.”
Mavs Summer League Coach Josh Broghamer said Flagg focused on making the ball easier.
“It continues to do the right play,” said Broghamer. “The guy who presses (on) is a little more used as a roller and we were using the ball to get easier to take the ball to the ground, so it continues to make the right plays.”
Harper expects to compete with Flagg throughout the season.
“We will play a lot this year,” Harper said. “So the future fights will be great. One thing we’ve got both: We’re just competitors. We’ll come out and compete.”
