Established by BB Jorisen and Remon Pauls in 2021, UMOB is an MAS platform that combines mobility suppliers through complete integration in an application. Jorisen (CEO) brings previous experience in the mobility of companies like General Motors and Greenwells. Poweles (CCO) has raised more than $ 1 million funds for several startups, and was the former CEO and co-founder of Go Shaking, one of the largest suppliers of the Netherlands, shared by the Netherlands.
It provides access to public transport, taxi and shared transport, including scooters, (electrical) bicycles and cars shared by a single account. UMOB’s ambition is to become a European MAAS platform and become a connection between government and suppliers to overcome the challenges of mobility in cities.
The UMOB believes that the demand for MAS solution is increasingly, the challenge is to increase the limited space in the city environment. Cities are following sustainable targets and are more inclusive and are trying to create options for flexible mobility. The goal of UMOB is to provide an answer to the challenges of this urban dynamics.
Its international booking platform has completely integrated all transport, which allows travel to plan and pay through a single app, even when a journey involves multiple transport methods.
With the new fund, the company’s goal is to continue to expand its services in the main and internationally major cities, already eleven countries throughout Europe.
Royman PaulCo-founder of CCO and UMOB, added: “What started as a vision has become a strong technical solution to the home fully developed, with the municipality and mobility to the UMB as strategic partners. With the help of our investors, we are now preparing for the next chapter: to completely integrate European travel services on a single platform.“
Since the launch of the platform in February 2021, the UMOB has achieved strong growth in its domestic market, as well as the experience of preliminary expansion in main European markets including Germany, France and Spain. The platform provides access to more than 500,000 dynamic vehicles provided by companies such as lime, bird and kooltra, full public transport networks and all large European taxi suppliers in multiple Western-European countries.
