Trump asks us for the Supreme Court to cancel the ruling of commercial definitions
Hello and welcome to the American Live Policy Blog. I am Tom Ambrose and I will bring you all the last news lines over the next few hours.
We start with the news that Donald Trump asked the United States Supreme Court of the Court the minimum decision that most of the overwhelming customs duties were illegal.
The US President submitted a petition late on Wednesday to a review of a review of the Federal Appeal Court’s ruling last week in Washington, DC, which focused on border taxes “Liberation Day” that was submitted on April 2, which imposed fees ranging between 10 % and 50 % on most American imports, which led to the transmission of shock waves through global trade and markets.
The court found in the ruling of 7-4 last Friday that Trump had exceeded his presidential powers when he summoned the 1977 law designed to address national emergencies to justify the “mutual” tariff.
The decision was the biggest blow to Trump’s tariff policies, but the fees were left in place until October 14 – while giving the administration time to demand the Supreme Court to review the decision.
Trump has now appealed and the Supreme Court is expected to review the case, although judges must agree to do so. The administration requested this decision by September 10.
The appeal calls for an accelerated schedule with the arguments that are heard by November 10, according to the stadiums that Bloomberg saw. Judges after that can be judged by the end of the year.

Several survivors of the abuse of Jeffrey Epstein indicated their support on Wednesday of a decision of the two parties to launch all files related to the convicted sex, who died in Manhattan prison in 2019.
Speaking outside the American Capitol building, Anusika de Georgio, one of the survivors of both Epstein and his consumer coin Heslin Maxwell, said, while “every day of this journey towards recovery came at a deep cost to my mental health,” she chose to be there because this legislation is really important.
She added that the only motivation for opposing the bill was to “hide violations”, but he also issued an appeal to Donald Trump to use his strength and influence to help launch the full slide of the records of Epstein.
The Capitol Land Department, known as the House Triangle, was full of journalists and appearances. Signs of accusation of the American president of “protecting children’s distortions” were raised along with paintings asking the administration “file launch”, support messages for survivors, and reading “We think you are.” Many of them at the press conference have narrated personal stories on how they were abused and traded. Annie Farmer, 46, said that she was only sixteen years old when she was transferred to New Mexico for the weekend with Epstein and Maxwell.
“For many years, I felt that Epstein’s criminal behavior was an open secret,” said Farmer. “Many others have not only participated in abuse, but it was clear that many were aware of his interest in girls and young women and they chose to look in the other direction because he benefited from that.”
At the same press conference, the co -author of the draft law, Republican Republican Thomas Massi, said that he is close to arrival 218 Signatures are necessary to overcome the leadership of the US House of Representatives and bring its legislation from the two parties, which calls for the issuance of Epstein files, to vote the floor.
“We hope they can find the spine,” said the legislator in Kentucky about the Republican acceptance. “I invite my colleagues to be one of the next two who are giving up the discharge.”
Trump is to host technology executives for the first event in the newly renewed garden
On Thursday, President Donald Trump will host more than twenty technology and business leaders for a newly renewed White House dinner, according to a White House official.
The official said the guests include the founder of Meta Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook CEO of Apple, the founder of Microsoft Bill Gates and CEO of Openai Sam Altman.
Reuters reported that the gathering highlights Trump’s complex relationship, but advanced with Silicon Valley and the broader technology industry.
Once the source of repeated clashes is on issues such as moderate content and anti -monopoly scrutiny, the technology sector has been calibrated since Trump’s victory in the elections for 2024.
Executive managers have sought closer relationships with the Republican administration, as they are in line with corporate policies with the payment of diverse initiatives and stocks at the White House with a flirtation in favor of Trump on artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
“The president is looking forward to welcoming the most important business, political and technology leaders at this dinner and many dinner to come in the beautiful new Rose Garden.”
Christie Naim, Minister of Internal Security (DHS), said that the Trump administration has intentionally chose a notorious Louisiana prison to hold immigration detainees as a way to encourage people in the United States illegally to report self.
A complex inside the Louisiana State Prison, a massive rural prison known as Angola, will be used to detain those who was described as “worse than the worst” detainees of immigration and customs (ICE). Naim was talking to the correspondents standing on the land of the facility near a new sign of “Louisiana Lukop” reading.
“This facility will carry the most dangerous criminals,” Nayyu said, adding that he was “chosen” at all for his reputation.
The officials said 51 detainees were already present in Angola. But the governor of Louisiana Jeff Landre said he expected the building to fill the capacity, and it is expected that more than 400 people will come in the months that followed, as President Donald Trump continues his extensive attempt to remove millions of people suspected of illegally entering the country.
The dirt road to the new ice facility is exposed through noble oak trees, green fields and other buildings – including a white church and a structure with a sign that says “Angola is shaking a team.”
The attachment is surrounded by a fence with five rows of thorny wire. Overlooking the external area is a tower, where a guard go back and forth.
At the imprisonment entrance, a sign says: “You are entering the land of new beginnings.”
