Hello and welcome to the American Live Policy Blog. My name is Tom Ambrose and I will bring you the latest news lines over the next few hours.
We start with the news that Donald Trump was accused of “turning the army into American citizens” after a Pentagon official confirmed that planning is underway to send the National Guard forces to Chicago.
Illinois Cami Raul’s General Prosecutor CBS News said The president’s actions are “non -American” and “non -wise strategic”.
He added: “accusing the president”, “to transform our army to American citizens in his continuous attempts to transfer our nation towards tyranny,” he added:
His actions are not only non -American. They are strategic as not wise. Our cities are not made safer by spreading members of the nation’s service for civil law enforcement duties when they do not have appropriate training.
To be clear: We have not submitted any such request for the type of federal intervention that we saw in Los Angeles or Washington, DC. There is no emergency in Illinois.
This comes at a time when the ruling Lieutenant Juliana Straton Trump was accused of following the “political play, not safety”, because the crime in Chicago is already decreasing and there was no local demand for the forces.
In a statement of ABC7 ChicagoShe said:
Reports tonight from the Washington Post that President Trump is preparing to deploy federal forces in Chicago what we all know: he is ready to go to any possible lengths to create chaos if that means more political power-not to blame.
As a lieutenant and throughout my career, I fought hard to reform our criminal legal system and under the Pritzker-Stratton administration, we have made tremendous progress.
The crime in Chicago decreases and there is absolutely no justification for this decision, unlike paying attention from the pain that Trump raises on the families of working with his dangerous agenda. Illinois, the ruler of Pritzker and I am here to defend your rights and freedoms, and will protect you from hate storms and fear on our way.
Earlier on Sunday, Hakim Jeffrez, leader of the minority in the House of Representatives and a member of the Democratic Congress in New York, said that Donald Trump “manufactured a crisis” to justify the sending of the Federal National Guard forces to the next Chicago, to the heads of local leaders.

Main events
Sinator Illinois Tami Dackeret said in a statement that Trump’s National Guard’s plan for Chicago “the army behaved its basic mission of keeping Americans safe from the real enemies.”
In a statement, she said:
We know that this is not related to “law and order” because Trump again refuses to coordinate with government and local officials. If he really cares about “health and safety”, he will not cut millions of dollars from financing armed violence only weeks ago.
This is just another attempt to distract the American people from the price that increases its policies that cause their own policies and the various personal scandals from which he wants to change the subject.
Forcing the army, who are not invitees, to Chicago to intimidate Americans in their societies, does not make our nation stronger, as it simply distracts the army’s attention from carrying out its basic mission of keeping Americans safe from real opponents who want to harm.
Congress member Raja Krishnamurthi also responded to reports that President Donald Trump was planning to send the National Guard forces to Chicago.
In a statement, Trump was accused of the escalation of “illegal attempt to strike Chicago” and described the president’s actions as “a strict abuse of power.”
He said:
President Trump’s illegal attempt to strike Chicago will not do anything but chaos and create a scene.
There is no state of emergency in Illinois calling for a border from the National Guard or the deployment of active service forces in our societies-just as there was no justification in Washington or Los Angeles. Donald Trump’s bright violations should end from power.
Our brave soldiers and our women are not pawn in their political games.
