President Donald Trump says that the United States carried out a “successful” attack to bomb three nuclear sites in Iran and said it was “obliterated.”
Israel says they were in “full coordination” with the United States in planning strikes. Iranian officials confirmed that the facilities had been struck, but they denied that they had been hit.
The strikes determine a great escalation in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.
This is what we know.
What did the United States bomb, and what weapons did you use?
One of the goals was Fordo, a manufacturer to enrich uranium hidden in a far mountain in the mountain, which is vital to Iran’s nuclear aspirations. We do not yet know the full size of the damage in the elbow.
The United States also says it also struck two other nuclear sites – in Natanz and Etishan.

Fordo is hiding away from the south of the mountain south of Tehran, Fordo underground from the channel tunnel linking the United Kingdom and France.
Due to the depth of Fordo under the ground, the United States only has a large type of “Bunker Buster” bomb enough to destroy the site. The United States bomb is called GBU-57 Huge penetration (MP).
It weighs 13,000 kg (30,000 pounds) and is able to penetrate about 18 meters (60 feet) of concrete or 61 meters (200 feet) of the Earth before the explosion, according to the experts.
Due to the depth of Fordo tunnels, the MP is not guaranteed to be successful, but it is the only bomb that can approach.
US media reports say MPS was used in strikes.

What knows about the effect of attacks?
It is not then clear damage to the US attack on nuclear facilities, or whether there are any injuries or victims.
The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization said that the detonation of the three nuclear sites was a “barbarian violation” of international law.
Both Saudi Arabia say unit of the United Nations nuclear monitoring. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Ghosti, invited an emergency meeting of the Organization Governor Council on Monday.
The deputy political director of the Iranian state broadcaster, Hassan Abedini, said that Iran had been postponed by these three nuclear sites “while it was.”
He said that Iran “did not suffer from a major blow because the materials have already been removed.”
In his televised speech, Trump said, “Nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely obliterated.”
But in his talk about the BBC news channel, former US Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Mark Kimmet was more cautious.
“There is no way to indicate that it was destroyed all the time,” he said.
The Iranian Foreign Minister warned the United States that its attack on Fordo, Estehan and Natanz will have “severe consequences”.
Abbas Aragichi said that Iran maintains “all options” to defend its sovereignty.
How can Iran be divided?
The BBC Security Corporate Frank Gardner says that Iran should now choose between three strategic paths to work in response to the American attack overnight:
- Do nothing. This can save it from other American attacks. He can even choose the diplomatic road and re -join negotiations with the United States. But not doing anything makes the Iranian regime appear weak, especially after all its warnings of the repercussions of dread if he attacks the United States. The risk of weakening its grip on its residents may be decided to exceed the cost of more American attacks
- Revenge is severe and fast. Iran still has a large arsenal of ballistic missiles after manufacturing and hiding them for years. It has a targeted list of about 20 American rulers to choose from in the broader Middle East. It can also launch “squadron attacks” on US Military Ships using drones and fast boats
- Revenge later at the time of his choice. This means waiting for the current tension to calm down and the release of a sudden attack when the American bases are no longer at a maximum alert
Iran can also target the origins of the nearby countries that are imagining that it is helping the United States, which risks the war that the entire region leakes.
Within the hours of American bombing, Iran launched a new wave of missiles towards Israel. Several parts of Tel Aviv, as well as the northern city of Haifa were injured – Israeli officials say at least 16 people were injured.
What did Donald Trump said and how was the USA’s reaction?
After publishing it on the social truth platform at 19:50 local time (00:50 GMT), Trump confirmed the strikes on Fordo, Natanz and Spohan.
Shortly more than two hours and his surrounding Vice President JD Vance, Defense Minister Beit Higseth and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, Trump gave a televised speech.
He said that future attacks will be “much greater” unless Iran reaches a diplomatic solution.
“Remember that there are many remaining goals,” he said.
Many members of the Republican Republican Party published data to support this step. Senator Texas Ted Cruz praised the president and his administration and the American army participating in the strikes.
However, not every fans are happy. “This is not our battle,” said Congress Margori Taylor Green.
The American Democratic Commander, Hakim Jeffrez, said Trump had risked us “intertwining in a possible catastrophic war in the Middle East,” while others accused him of overcoming Congress to launch a new war.
Independent Senator Bernie Sanders described the American strikes as “superior constitutional” because the president does not have the only power to officially declare war on another country. Only Congress – legislators elected in the House of Representatives and the Senate – can.
But the law also states that the president is the commander of the armed forces. This means that he can deploy American forces and make military operations without official announcement of the war.
How was the reaction of world leaders?
The United Kingdom Prime Minister, Sir Kerr Starmer, said that the United States has taken measures to “alleviate” what he called the “wrong threat” by the Iranian nuclear program. In a statement, Tehran called for approval of the talks and reaching a diplomatic solution.
United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres said that US air strikes were a serious escalation,; Whereas, the head of the European Union’s foreign policy urged Kaja Calas all parties to retreat and return to the negotiating table.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed “great concern” while condemning Oman – who hosted the United States talks in Iran in recent weeks – the strikes and called for the abolition of the escalation.
How did this start?
Israel launched a sudden attack on dozens of Iranian nuclear and military targets on June 13. She said that her ambition was to dismantle his nuclear program, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said close to producing a nuclear bomb.
Iran insists on its peaceful nuclear ambitions. In revenge, Tehran fired hundreds of missiles and drones in Israel. The two countries have continued to exchange strikes since then, in an air war that has now lasted for more than a week.
Trump has long said that he was opposing Iran’s nuclear weapon. It is believed that Israel is widely, although it does not confirm and does not deny it.
In March, US National Intelligence Director Toulcy Gabbard said that although Iran has increased its uranium stock to unprecedented levels, it was not a nuclear weapon building – a rating that Trump recently said “a mistake.”
On the campaign’s path, Trump criticized last American administrations for engaging in “endless stupid wars” in the Middle East, and pledged to keep America out of foreign conflicts.
The United States and Iran were in nuclear talks at the time of Israel’s sudden attack. Just two days ago, Trump said that he would give Iran two weeks to enter great negotiations before it was drawn – but this schedule was much shorter.
