Trump wants Lisa Lisa Cook because of the demands of fraud on the mortgage star-news.press/wp

On Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump called for the resignation of the Federal Reserve official, Lisa Cook, in his recent attack on the central bank.
The call to the resignation of Cook came less than a day after the director of the Federal Housing Agency, Bill Polly Message on August 15 sent to Public Prosecutor Bam Bondi pushes the Ministry of Justice to investigate mortgages. Polly Cook suggested committing the mortgage fraud.
FHFA did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Ministry of Justice refused to comment. The White House refused to comment on the record.
Cook issued a statement on Tuesday afternoon, saying that she learned from news reports on Polt’s criminal referral. She said she will not go anywhere.
“I have no intention of intimidation to step down from my position because of some questions that were raised in a tweet,” Cook said. “I intend to take any questions about my financial history seriously as a member of the federal reserve, so I collect accurate information to answer any legitimate questions and provide facts.”
Trump began an unusual campaign for several months to pressure the Federal Reserve to reduce borrowing cost. A massive anger has expressed the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell in particular to keep interest calves throughout the year. Other allies within the administration, such as Pulte, joined the president to urge the central bank to reduce interest rates.
In the case of Pulte, his strong invitation to remove Powell has sparked some criticism from Republican Senators who believe that he should focus on his main mission of overseeing the mortgage industry.
Trump has recently had an opportunity to issue his seal on the central bank after early resignation from the former Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kogler. This was allowed to name the White House assistant Stephen Miran to the hole, at least temporarily. Another opening in the Governor’s Council would pave the way for the president to stabilize a more friendly second selection to push him to low interest rates.
Cook was nominated by former President Joe Biden and The Senate confirmed In May 2022, the first black woman working on the Board of Governors at the Federal Reserve, a group of 7 members taking repeated sounds on monetary policy and helping to organize the financial sector. The current duration of the current period ended in 2038.
The PULTE letter described the mortgage documents it obtained on Cook, claiming that “bank documents and property records were formed for more favorable loan conditions.” Over one month in 2021, Cook obtained real estate loans for the initial residency of two properties in Michigan and Georgia and announced that they were its main residence.
Georgia later listed for rent in 2022, prompting Boldi to urge Bondi to investigate whether Cook did not reveal rental revenues as part of her financial disclosure in the Federal Reserve.
Cook is not alone in attracting checking from the Trump administration due to allegations of mortgage fraud. There are prominent democratic personalities such as Senator Adam Chef from California at the same intersection as well.
