GMGN offers users with sandwich attacks under the new MEV protection feature for the platform to compensate for losses.

In April 2025, there was a wave of MEV attacks that suffer from the Solana trading app (SOL). according to Data From AI Invest, there was a total of more than 260,000 sandwich attacks for a period of 30 days. Among the hundred thousand malicious attacks, up to 23,600 Sols of users were stolen.

Of the total of 260,000 attacks, about 30.8 % of them were on the GMGN platform. Although GMGN is one of the Solana -based platforms with a relatively small amount of trading volume compared to the largest, it was the most influential application by the percentage of the attack to the trading volume.

Other prevailing trading platforms, such as Binance and Bitget Central Exchanges, try to address the Sandwich mev attack with countless roads. For example, Binance reported that their accounts could be canceled if they were arrested using mev Bots to deceive the alpha points system.
