The bodies of five skiers found rescuers near the luxury resort in Switzerland.

They were recovered a day after emergency services warned groups of climbers in Rimpfischhorn – 4,199 meters in alpine alps – on several ski pairs, unattended.

Aerial and earthy search led to the discovery of the body under the summit on Adler Glacier, Sunday’s statement on Sunday.

The victims were found at different heights on avalanches in areas with a high altitude near the Swiss Italian border.

Three bodies were placed in one area, and two were discovered higher on the narrow stain of snow, said the Air Zermatt rescue service.

The fifth couple of skis was later found during the search, confirming that the group traveled as a party from five. Their identity has not yet been formally released.

The public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation of the circumstances of the accident.

Zermatt is one of the top alpine resorts in Switzerland, they visited the worrial British and other European skiers. But the rise in Rimpfischhorn is considered an advanced expedition, about five hours from the place.

In a separate incident on Friday night, Air Zermatt was also involved in a challenging mountain rescue at Fiescherchönner, where four alpinists stranded in the middle of a fog and high winds.

The initial evacuation attempt had to be interrupted due to the weather, but the second attempt immediately after midnight brought all four to safety.
