Celebrating the Day of Old Warriors with Bill Muyer star-news.press/wp

It was a pleasure to speak with Bill Muir about his work in the army, as a registered nurse, to reach food, his book, and the day of the old warriors. We hope you enjoy this interview.

Thank you for your service. We are grateful to give you the opportunity to meet you. Please tell us about yourself and your background. Why did you decide to join the army, and when did you recruit?

Thank you very much! Hello all. Anna Bill Muyer, also known as SGT Vegan. I am an old warrior, RN, and 32 vegetable. I joined the American army after September 11 to serve my country in the time of need. I had lived in Japan about eight years ago while the attack occurred, and as an expatriate, I strongly affected me. I joined the army because I thought I would be able to make a change and help in saving lives, whether American or Afghan, if I joined during the war.

In which branch of the army was in it? What was your work? Where did you serve?

I was an American army and served with the 173rd brigade of air as a combat doctor. I toured Afghanistan from 2005 to 2006.

What is your experience like eating a vegetarian diet while serving? Have you faced certain challenges with food access? If so, how did you overcome them?

It depends on being a vegetarian in the army truly on your place and what you do. The basic training was completely terrible – not because the training was difficult, but because I was starving All the time. After BootCAMP, things became better and returned weight. Being in Italy with 173 was amazing! I have already got a kind of fat despite all the running that I was doing, because I was eating vegetable noodles, vegetable pizza and vegetable generation every day. When I published, I was very worried that I would return to hunger, but fortunately, I found a Web site called Anysoldier.com sending people who need it. I have heard circumstances for people with plant diets have improved, but until there is a vegetable mres (field classes) and plant options in all military cafeterias, it will be difficult to be based on the plant in the army.

Why was it important for you to remain a factory during your military career?

For me, to be a vegetarian means moral life. I think staying faithful to something I believe in while he was in the army, especially while in the war area, was also about my attempt to adhere to my identity.

How was your time in the military form who are you today? Is there anything in particular about your service that you want to share?

Regardless of your identity, the presence in the army will change you almost to the cellular level. I know this is the famous cup in every movie show and a TV program that includes the army, but I did not expect me to include it either.

After your military service, you obtained a certificate in plant cooking arts from Atlantic Union College. In your opinion, how can education be about preparing entire plant foods a way forward to achieve better health?

It could be hugeBut they must want to change. The vast majority of my patients have verified an attempt to be in good health. I just try to do my best to prevent them from falling or death in my Nubi. There is still a lot of anti -strange advertising in the United States, unfortunately, many of the inventors of warriors still believe that eating dead animals somehow makes you more male.

After moving from the army, it became a registered nurse. What is your experience like working in the medical field and what is the field of nursing is your specialty?

Working in the affairs of the old warriors (VA) was as a blessing and curse. On the one hand, I feel lucky because I am able to help my old warriors at the time of their need, in the same way I joined the army in wartime. On the other hand, working with sick people and death negatively affects you physically and mentally. Everyone in all, I feel lucky because I have a job to do something important, but sometimes I wish I chose an easier profession.

Are you still working in VA Hospital? Have you seen preventive cases with healthy lifestyle interventions, such as full food and plant -based eating?

I am working on a medical/surgical floor that has heart screens. The vast majority of heart issues are linked to a lifestyle, which means that the hearts of patients do not work in the way they should be due to unhealthy meals, smoking, drinking or drugs. Although we cannot live forever, we can live better, for a longer period, if we just make a simple lifestyle adjustments. The first three? Go vegetarian, exercise daily, and not smoke.

Please tell us about your book Vegetarian. What inspired you to write?

After I went to the cooking school, I planned to open a restaurant. Unfortunately, my arrest was not great. It was 2008 and the economy was on rocks, so I suspended this dream and made the practical choice to become a registered nurse. I did not know what I would have done with all my knowledge of plant health and plant living even, even one day, I had an idea. I would like to write a book on how to be in good and vegetable, but design it like an army field guide.

Finally, what does it mean to you the day of the old warriors? Is there anything you want to share with your old warrior colleagues?

The day of the old warriors is our day, so as a veteran warfare, if you want to be about getting some free meals, go to it. If you want to be a meaningful reflection, this is also great. We are about 6 percent of the population, and if served during wartime, this number is smaller. Eat correctly, take care of yourself, and if you need help, VA is always for you. Get vegetarian and remain a strong vegetarian!
