Five members of the Canada World Juniors Ice Hocky team for 2018 were acquitted in a sexual assault case after the judge in Ontario said that the prosecutors could not meet the burden of proof.
Michael McCloid, Carter Hart, Alex Formon, Delon Dobby, Calnn Foot, acknowledged that he was not guilty of sexual assault in a confrontation in a hotel room in London, Ontario, in the early hours of June 19, 2018.
The players, between the ages of 25 and 27, were in London at the time to get the Gala and GOLF championship on the occasion of the Junior World Championship earlier that year.

The victim met the players in a bar in the center of London after the Huki Canada event on June 18, 2018. The victim was later invited to a hotel room where he was sexually assaulted.
In May, the woman witnessed that she was naked, drunk and afraid when four men appeared unexpectedly in her room in the London Hotel Delta, and felt that the only “safe” option was to do what they wanted.
