California Hospital is prepared for a rush in patients star-news.press/wp

At least one California hospital is prepared for a rush in patients who represent a heat-related disease as a heat wave brings abnormally warm temperatures to the golden state of this weekend.
Why is it important
The meteorologists of the National Time Service (NWS) already issue guidance on the eve of the temperatures this weekend, with internal areas through most countries expecting temperatures to hit triple digits.
Since one of the first heat waves of the season, people could be unprepared for hot temperatures, putting them at a higher risk associated with warmth.

What to know
Extreme heat causes more than 1,200 deaths in the United States per year, according to the data from the control and prevention centers.
Michelle Shahbon, urgent manager in Regional Medical Center expects an increase in emergencies, is especially climbing this weekend, especially among seniors, young children, external workers and those with existing health conditions.
Shahbon advises people to remain hydrated, limit the outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day and check those who are most at risk.
Shahbon also outlined the early signs of heat exhaustion, which involve dizziness, nausea and heavy sweating. These symptoms should never ignore, Shahbon said Newsweek.
Tourists are in danger for thermal diseases, and those visits Redding’s lakes and rivers may not be ready in the fight against heat.
If the patient represents a disease regarding heat, treatment may consist of cooling measures such as Icewater or Evaporation of liquid and IV fluid, others. Gregory Hartt, said, said Newsweek.
However, other medical service providers expect business as usual.
“Temperatures regularly exceed 100 degrees in summer time, and we do not expect anything unusually associated with this usual heat,” said Spokesperson with UC Davis health affairs for public affairs Newsweek.
What do people say
Hartt said Newsweek: “As the ascent temperature, we anticipate the appropriate increase in heat-related diseases. The critical component of heat waves is proactively ensuring the appropriate levels of staff, supplies and cooling measures for efficient patient management.”
NWS Office in Sacramento in the heat consultation: “Heat-relateds are significantly increasing during extreme heat events, especially for those who work or participate in outdoor activities.”
What happens next
Thermal warnings come into effect on Friday and in most cases, last Saturday. In some parts of California, the extreme heat is expected until Sunday morning. People in the affected areas need to monitor local weather conditions for leadership.
