The US Customs and Border Patrol has been announced late Friday, explaining that the goods will be excluded from Trump 10% of the global tariff to most countries and much more imports in Chinese imports.
This move comes after the concerns of American technology companies so that the price of the gadget could jump, because many of them are made in China.
This is the first significant return of any kind in Trump tariffs in China, with one trading analyst describing as “game exchanger scenario.
Exceptions – background to 5. April – include other electronic devices and components, including semiconductors, solar cells and memory cards.
The White House indicated that they were exempted to ensure that companies had more time to move production to the United States.
“President Trump did that America cannot rely on China to produce critical technologies such as semiconductors, chips, smartphones,” said Secretary of the White House for Karolina Leavt in the statement. “In the direction of the President of this company, they are accelerated that in the United States in the United States appear in the United States.”
Trump, who spends the weekend in his house in Florida, told reporters on Friday, was comfortable with high tariffs in China.
“And I think something positive will get out of that,” he said, fathering his relationship with the Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Some estimates suggested the prices of iPhone and other electronic goods in the United States rose three times if the cost of tariffs were transferred to consumers.
“This is a dream scenario for technological investors,” Dan Ives, who is a global chief of technological research on religious securities, is published in X. “Smartphones, the chips are being replaced by China Tariffs.”
Large technological companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft and the wider technological industry can insert a large sigh of relief this weekend on Monday, he added.

It says as much as 80% of Apple iPhone intended for US sales are made in China, with 20% of india produced.
With colleagues on smartphones such as Samsung, Apple tries to diversify their supply chains to avoid excessive reliance in China in recent years.
India and Vietnam appeared as Frontrunners for additional production environments.
As the tariffs entered into force, the apple was allegedly requested to speed up and increases the production of devices produced in India in recent days.
Trump planned to host a steep tariffs about countries around the world, set to take effect this week.
But on Wednesday, he quickly reversed the course, announced that he would implement a break of 90 days for countries that hit larger American tariffs – except China – whose tariffs were raised at 145%. Trump said that the Chinese tariff is increasing for the readiness of the country to retaliate with its own 84% imposed on American goods.
In a dramatic change of politics, Trump said that all countries that did not revenge against American tariffs get a refund – and they just face a U.S. tariff cover from 10% – to July.
The White House then said that the move was a negotiating tactic for the separation of more favorable trade conditions from other countries.
Trump said that his taxes would be imported to address the unfairness in the global trade system, as well as bringing jobs and factories back to the American shores.
It was not clear whether the import of technology from China was still hit by a 20% tariff that was not part of the reciprocal tariffs announced 2. April. The BBC contacted the White House for Comment.
