“Any club will tell you that,” he added. “If there is no deal, why would we do it?
“It’s one of our best players, if we certainly don’t our best players, and we need our best players. No harm to keep your best players.”
Giles also gave an update in Christian Norgard, which confirms that Bentford captain is approaching Arsenal.
“We’ve been in conversations with Arsenal in 10 days last week,” Giles said. “It’s not done yet, but it goes in that direction.
“If so, it’s fantastic, he won. It has been a great captain for us.
“Let’s see how that ends ending, but we are quite interesting there.”
