The Legend Victor Valdes in Barcelona is ready to return to the fourth grade level in Spain.
Valdes has been confirmed as a team coach until next season finishes work football.
Here is the official statement:
“Real Ávila CF announced that Víctor Valdés will be the first new coach until the end of this season and until the next campaign.
“After retiring from football, Valdés trained Barça, Moratalaz, football school and the UE Horta team.
“From the club in the world we want all this new phase to make sure that his experience and commitment will be essential.
“For the technical team, Diego, Jonás, Joel, Alberto Garrosa and Víctor Garrosa will continue to take part in maintaining work team stability and cohesion.
We have given it the opportunity to follow Rafa López, but he decided not to continue willingly. True Ávila CF honestly thank him the services he gave to the club during his time. “
Valdes gave his boots in 2018 after a career that carried 535 appearances in Barcelona, with six titles and three champion leagues.
The goalkeeper returned to work as a young coach at the club, but ended in a mixed mess in 2019. Since then he has been linked to Barcelona, but now he will test a new challenge with Real Avil.
