Aircraft from India was heading to London and carried 242 people crashed after seconds in western India on Thursday, killing everyone except for one person on board Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane crash was the most bloody plane crash for years.
This is what to know:
What kind of plane was it?
The Boeing 787-8 Drink. It is a popular dual plane used for longer ways.
The first flight of this plane was in December 2013 and was delivered to Air India in January 2014, according to Cirium in the field of aviation.
Serium said that Air India has 34 of them in service from Thursday, including this plane, and it had plans to request at least 20 others. The airline builds its fleet with modern aircraft from Boeing and Airbus competing, and installs a more luxurious cabin.
There are more than 1,100 Dreamlins fly all over the world.
What happened on this trip?
Initial data shows that the signal from the plane was lost at 1:38 pm local time, after less than one minute of taking off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport from Ahmedabad, according to Flight-Tracer Flightradar24.
Flightradar indicated that the plane reached a maximum height of 625 feet, although the height of the airport is about 200 feet.
It is not clear because of the plane lost very quickly before crashing into a fireplace in a residential area. Other deaths on the ground were informed of the local media.
The cause of air accidents can be a variety of factors, from mechanical issues to wildlife to experimental error, and often includes more than one problem.
What will investigators see?
The respondents will comb the rubble of the so -called black boxes: the cockpit recorders and aid aid. They will give investigators a collision of evidence about what was happening on the trip.
Crash investigators will look at everything starting with airline maintenance records to pilot maneuvers, plane position as well as slices and paintings on wings, training of pilots and modern comfort, and weather conditions on the hot day, when temperatures were close to 100 degrees Varineheit.
They will also check the video from the accident, including footage of the plane that takes off from Ahmedabad.
According to international protocols, the country where the accident will lead will lead the investigation while the plane manufacturer, Boeing, and the aircraft maker in the plane, GE aerospaceIn addition to the participation of American federal collisions.
There were manufacturing fears and quality about Dreamlins before. Are they linked?
This was not immediately clear, and the final report on the causes of the accident may not be available until next year, but some experts cleaned the manufacturing problem, in part due to the fact that the plane was flying for more than a decade.
“I do not think this is the issue of manufacturing or production,” said Jeff Josetti, a retired air safety investigator at the National Transportation Council in the United States and the Federal Aviation Administration.
He said it is too early to know what the problem – or problems -, as air accidents often involve several failures.
“It seems that the plane came out of the runway without any problem, but for some reason it could not board,” he said.
Experts said Boeing had confronted problems with Dreamliner before, but immediate contact was not clear.
The amounts of violations claimed last year that Boeing took it Decimators on 787 to reduce bottlenecks and create “excessive stress” on the main aircraft joints. Boeing denied the accusations.
The aircraft delivery operations have also been established for about a year until mid -2012 due to manufacturing defects, as parts of the fuselage were incorrectly diverged.
After Dreamliner entered for the first time in 2011, the planes were established to conduct inspections due to fears of lithium battery fires.
What does this mean for Boeing?
The company was already reeling from two 737 Max Max Max incidents by selling when the door had exploded from a maximum of 9 in early 2024.
The influence on Boeing depends on the investigation of the crash. The demand for new aircraft is still strong, and airlines often continue to submit applications because the waiting period can extend for several years.
“We don’t see much of the direct impact on financial performance, but this is certainly measured by the momentum until some strong clarity is provided,” Wolfe Research said in a note on Thursday.
“We don’t see any effect on the slope of production as a result and we expect any effect on the demand to be very small (and local) as well,” Wolf wrote. “There can be a modest risk in any episode of reactions to issue a certificate (for its presenter) 777X, but it is very early the size of any danger there.”
Boeing has requests for 900 Dreamlins, according to its website.
