On Thursday, the Congo Ministry of Health announced a new outbreak in Ebola, the sixteenth in the Central African country, after confirming a case in the southern Casai province.

“So far, the temporary report shows 28 suspects and 15 deaths, including 14 in Bulabi and one in MWEKA, as well as four health care workers,” said Samuel Roger Campaba, Minister of Public Health of the Congo.

He said that the death rate, which is estimated at 53.6 percent, showed the seriousness of the situation.

Campaba said the numbers were temporary and that research was continuing. The suspected cases and deaths provided symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea and bleeding.

The confirmed issue of a 34 -year -old pregnant woman was in Bulabi.

The World Health Organization said on Thursday that it had sent its experts alongside the quick response team in the Congo to Casai Province to enhance the monitoring of diseases, treatment, infection and control of health facilities. It also offers supplies, including personal protection equipment, mobile laboratory equipment and medical supplies.
Congo has a stock of treatments and the Ebobio Fibo vaccine, who said.

“We are determining determination to stop the spread of the virus and protect societies,” said Dr. Mohamed Janabi, the regional director of Africa.

The Ebola virus is very contagious and can be contracted through physical fluids such as vomiting, blood or semen. The disease caused by rare but severe – and is often fatal – for humans.
