Instead, choose to stay. He remained to treat the wounded, evacuate the injured, resort to the terrifying, and do his best to preserve dignity in some way amid chaos.

Last Thursday, Islamic Jihad released a terrifying publicity video. What I saw destroyed me: my son – is about to die, he suffers clearly, crying and pleading with his life. I did not know it. It was very weak, very meager. His voice was weak, and his eyes were hollow and empty – as if he was about to surrender. I know it is difficult to believe, but this was the first time that I saw my son crying. Really cry.

Four months ago, Islamic Jihad released another video of ROM. He seemed terrible until then – but at least there was something in his eyes. A glimmer of hope. The belief that it may still come out. In these horrific footage, that spark has ended. His eyes were stopped. It seems that he is waiting for death. This is not a metaphor. He is a father watching his child dies in the actual time.

ROM was always strong – the type of child who made people feel safe. Now, it can barely recognize it, a victim of psychological and physical torture. This is not the son you raised. This is a broken boy.

These terrorists who carry my son and many others claim that they give the hostages the same food that their fighters receive. But in the video, you can see the kidnappers clearly feeding well, and they are deliberately starving. This hunger intentionally – you can see it.

President Trump, I move to you – not as a diplomat or a politician, but as a desperate father to work.

You know what to protect your family. It has shown strength where others are hesitant. I talked about the truth without a compromise. You understand that moral clarity comes above all. You know what evil looks – and you never hesitated to call it. I ask you:
Use your strength, impact and leadership to demand the immediate release of all fifty hostages who are still being held in Gaza.

This is not only an Israeli tragedy – it is a global test of conscience. What Hamas did on October 7 through mass killing, rape and kidnapping was more than terrorism – it was an attack on the civilization itself.
