AtlanticaLondon -based company has concentrated on sustainable property, announced the acquisition StatcraftIts Canadian renewable power platform.
This step adds a development pipeline to 236 MW of operational capacity and a total of 0.8 gigawatts on solar, air and energy saving projects. The transaction, in order to close before the end of 2025, was significantly called Atlantica’s location in the Canadian market.

Established in the 21st, Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Limited operates a variety of portfolios in North America, Europe and South America, a wide range of energy, energy saving, skilled natural gas, electrical infections and water resources. This acquisition strengthens the strategic push in North America in Atlantica and is one of its main growth areas, adding the operational depth to air energy.
This agreement includes 51% of the L’Oreable Air facility partner of the L’Oreble Air, 100 MW of operations with an power purchase agreement (PPA) supported by the utility of investment. The acquisition also covers a 136 MW air project in Alberta, which was launched in December 2024, which benefited from the corporate PPA and was proud of the remaining 15 years of the remaining contract life. The Canadian portfolio is selling by an Oslo-based energy firm in 1895, and is known worldwide for skills in hydropower and renewable energy. Statcraft entered the Canada market by the acquisition of International Portfolio in November 2023, a contract concluding in May 2024.
Although it has had enough foot in Spain and Brazil-where it is now among the top ten air producers, the division of the Canadian property reflects the strategic retreat from non-core regions.

Statcraft has a Canadian auxiliary agency Enerfan Canada, headquarters in Montreal and offices in Calgary and Saint-Feedinand. The sales staff, two operational air farms include a total of 236 MW and six air and solar development projects across several provinces.
The conclusion of regulatory approval under the competition law of Canada is uninterrupted. Both sides expect to complete the transaction at the end of 2025.
