“These scenes were very close to the beach pioneers,” said Daughty. “B30 has been closed for an hour. But it is now open. We will continue to monitor the beach and keep up update everything.”

Christina Farrell, deputy deputy of the Emergency Management Department in New York City, said that the agency’s drone unit was monitoring shark activity to maintain everyone’s safety.

Earlier this week, New York Governor Cathy Hochol reassured New York residents that the authorities were taking measures to monitor sharks along the state’s beaches, especially in Long Island, before the weekend.

The New York State Commissioner said that Randy Simons had been well prepared to maintain the safety of the beach pioneers.
