Sioux Falls, South Dakota – On this Valentine, here is a secret of long and happy marriage, according to 94-year-old Don Barnett and his 93-year-old Marilyn woman from Sioux, South Dakota.
Their public exhibitions enabled favor, they say, on a private night ritual song.
It happens before bed, when Don asks Marilyn, “Want a song?” And she answers, “Of course!”
Don then sits next to his bride of 68 and starts singing.
“I’m just looking forward to that,” Marilyn told the news about the CBS. “And he has a wonderful voice.”
They started working about 50 years ago.
“And I discovered a few things,” Don said. “First of all, it satisfied her. And secondly, he calmed us down. And that we had disagreement or something before, it was gone when we left at the time we slept.”
It’s a magical music elixir that their son Doug says it happens without failure.
“I’m not aware that they ever miss them,” Doug said.
