Hannah Hampton’s Mary Earps “England’s heritage is committed to living in the next European Championships.
Earps announced the decision to move away from international duty last month, England won Euro 2022 and took a year later to the World Cup final.
It plays football in France with Saint-Germain in Paris, and won 53 caps for his country, and he also won the Award for Best FIFA.
However, 32-year-old has lost the starting point of Chelsea’s Hampton.
Hampton had a seasoned season for the blues of Sonia Bompastor, holding a high-division 13 clean sheets (Phallon Tullis-Joyce), last year’s Super League.
He only gave 13 goals, the lowest part of the goalkeeper distribution at least 16 games in WSL 2024-25.
“We need to respect his decision which is,” Hampton said Earps.
“I think it’s probably worth it worth with everything you’ve got in the game.
“He placed the women’s goalkeeper on the map. It was never really a thing, and Maria changed that.
“I think I did everything I have to do. I sent a text and I congratulate it for a successful international career and that’s all I think I can do.
“The player has been incredible. We will lose it as a person here. This group is a great personality and everyone stuck at some times.
“So I think it was hard to know what everyone is decision, but we need to respect that.
“And yes, I have to go now and I have to go to live to her heritage. I’ll give you my best shot for sure.”
Hampton, is the only goalkeeper of England, in Khadrila, Khia Keating and Anna Moorhouse two other patrons go to euros.
“I will try my absolute caregivers gloves (who were coming) as soon as possible and to fulfill success,” Hampton added.
“I think like everyone here, they had fluctuations in their careers.
“They have fought from that today and I’m probably one of them, but it’s not for anyone else here.
“Everyone (in the squad) thought they were probably in a hard position, but you get out of each other.”
