Newcastle Sports United Paul Mitchell must leave his role in the club in the next month with mutual consent.

Mitchell, he was director of Tottenham Hotspur, entered Newcastle in July 2024 to replace Dan Ashworth, in order to achieve Manchester United’s role.

Despite being forced to sell players like Yankuba Mindeh and Elliot Anderson, to meet the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, Magpies won the EFL Cup, claiming the first trophy in 70 years.

They were also classified for the next season’s League, despite Everton’s latest time.

Newcastle General Manager Darren Eales will also be soon for health reasons.

Eales and Mitchell worked before Tottenham, the latter indicated the Eales exit as his own reason.

Mitchell said to everyone thanks to everyone in the last year, including Eddie Howe, Langley, Players, staff, owners and fans. The honor has been part of the club and work with incredible people.

“I leave for me and a moment right for the club, especially with Darren Eales – someone I’ve worked so close to my career – moving soon.

“The club is in large hands and is out of the field and is a great position to continue building.

“I would like to have a bright and successful future with everyone related to Newcastle.”

At the beginning of the season there was a tension speculation between Mitchell and Howe, though Duo stressed that they were on the same page in terms of transfers.
